About Holly

The First Day of School

Who am I?  Depends who you ask.

To many, I am an everyday 22-year-old facing the plight of an overworked, underslept college student. Boring.

Ask others, and I’m a music-writing, salsa-dancing, life-loving friend. Better.

Ask me what defines me, and I’ll tell you: my life.

Sometimes I think my life began when I left America to live on my own in Cuernavaca, Mexico.  Years prior, I was fortunate to have an incredibly supportive and loving family, but it was living alone that helped me find Holly.

Megumi, Holly, Ebu, RitzcoWhile in Mexico, I  studied and taught English during the first eight months of 2004…

But don’t be fooled. I spent plenty nights ’salsa-ing’ at the Mambo Cafe and numerous days losing myself in the vibrant markets of Mexico City.

Lucky for you, what happened in Mexico doesn’t have to stay in Mexico.

MundoPR utilizes my diverse cultural knowledge to analyze public relations issues across the globe by studying current events and foreign blogs.

Mexico’s vibrant culture–and its problems–changed my life.

I hope to be a voice for those in the world who don’t have one.

Wonderful. You left out the word ‘when’ in the last sentence. You are so amazing.

Wow! This is such an interesting avenue of public relations to explore… I am so tired of reading professional PR blogs on “how blogs affect PR”. Your blog has the potential to be a refreshing NEW voice in this industry.
I can’t wait to read your posts!

Holly is known as “Aunt Holly” to me. I can’t wait to see what becomes of her life after college (as long as spending time with me is included:). Great job – very impressive!

    Hi, Holly.

As I said in my email, love the look of Mondo and the from-the-heart approach to your own story. I’m looking forward to the first post. I’m also happy to see Dooce in the blogroll. She’s a blogging legend.

On your “about” page, you need to play around with photo size and spacing — maybe even rethinking your cropping (if you can) on that lead shot. I’d take it all the way across the page, or shrink it so copy can run to the right of of the pic comfortably.

Is it my browser, or is the copy in “about” in two different fonts? Close up the gap and see what happens. Great start.

OMGosh, you are the most amazing person I have ever met…you should make a link to your cd(s), so all can enjoy the talent and voice of Miss Holly…
ps: you are impressive, talented and amazingly wonderful ;) …someone has to state the obvious!
